The Rules of Providence

So. We're here, at a site with a web serial. This is not new, but it is difficult and unusual; and so there are some ground rules we need to lay down.
The first is that I will find some way to end this. I will not leave you hanging with an archive half-full. Whatever else happens, Randall's story will find a conclusion.
The second, is that I wish this could be more than weekly. In my ideal world I'd be sitting in a comfortable house eating consistently healthy food, and producing Not Providence for you three days out of the week while I spend three more working on novels and the last lying on my bed and swearing about all the energy I expend on something that is so much damn fun. Unfortunately, I have a deep need for food and lodging, and so I have to keep doing something besides write, and I have to keep writing for money until that money equals a living wage; and as such, to do more than a weekly update could easily cause my head to explode. I hope you will forgive me.
The third is tied to the second, and that is, these updates prone to be short. 1-4 pages, generally, less in the browser window. This is for the aforementioned reasons; if I forced more than that out of myself each week I would be burnt out and useless within the month.
The fourth is that I want your feedback. If you have something to say, click "Contact Tyler", or comment in the update announcement post, and let me know what it is. If you think something sucks, please tell me why. If I can find time, I'll respond, and I will try to address it in the future.
And finally; if you are interested in The Annotated Providence Project (especially if an antiquated link led you here for more information), click here.
That's it. Your only job now is to go to the prologue, or the most recent update, and give it a read. I hope it's fun; it's really the primary reason we do this.
